Creating your own artwork and sending it to us to print? No worries! Follow these instructions to provide us a print quality file which will give you the best results.
The most important thing when creating artwork for printing is knowing what size the final printed product needs to be.

1. Setting Up Your Document

a.  So, you have decided what the final size will be. It’s now time to set up your document. (Let’s say you’ve decided on A4 size - 210mm x 297mm)
b.  If you have images or a coloured background going to the edges of your document, you will also need to include 3mm bleed (an extra 6mm added to the width and height of your document).
c.  Always allow a margin, no less than 5mm (preferably 10mm for anything larger than a business card), from inside the trim line so there is no chance important text can be cut off when trimmed.

2. Adding Images

If you're adding images to your artwork you must ensure:
a.  All images are in CMYK colour (there can be NO RGB or Pantone Colours used in your document). Any graphics or images using RGB or Pantone colours will be automatically converted to CMYK.
b.  All images MUST be 300dpi (high resolution) at the size they are being used or larger.

3. Creating a Press-Ready PDF File

a.  If the program you are using has this function, SAVE or EXPORT your artwork to PDF using the PDF Preset [Press Quality]
b.  Also ensure, if your artwork has bleed, to check ‘Use Document Bleed Settings’ under Marks and Bleeds / Bleed and Slug.
c.  Click ‘Export’
